What Measures Have WE Taken? - Omkar Gogate, Thane

SHOUT OUT LOUD!

Enough have we all talked about inefficiency of the politicians and the system, haven't we? Yes, including me. I believe it is also the time we meditated and looked within. Look at our selves in the huge mirror of facts and ask our selves "What Measures Have We All Taken?"

Agreed, this attack was unique and was of a more sever manner, but terrorist attacks have shaken the city even before, starting from 1993 blasts to date. Every time we all vowed to be more vigilant and careful. What happened? Can we admit the vigilance didn't even last for a week. Worse still we have learnt to relax once such events actually happen, convincing our selves that, such thing is not gonna happen any sooner now. What vigilance and what alert?

Did you run through the news papers? A real life demo of hopelessness and carelessness was presented by the On-Their-Toes Railway Police, thanks to Mr. Borkar from Dombivali. This man carried his revolver, which was baqaayda licensed, to CST station, then passed through all of the 'SECURITY' detectors, and guess what? He just wasn't caught, how amazing isn't it! Mr. Borkar then presented the revolver to the police, asking how they could let him pass through all the TIGHT security. The answer was "humko beep ki awaze sunayee nahi padi", wow- felt a bit more secured? "Hum sabko rail police pe bahut naaz hona chahiye!"

From the horses mouth (read Gadhon ke muh se! in Hindi), how we ourselves should take care of our own. The next railway announcement must be "Pease take care of your own valuables and life, railways bear no responsibility of it whatsoever"

Then there were those who have not missed this golden opportunity to cash in the publicity, by readily available means. No marks for guessing, wahi purana Yagya Yaag, what else. Our media has fondly covered all these mean and selfish acts of self exposure on their respective channel. People gathered on various places to and ARRANGED Yagyas. Offered litres after litres of precious ghee and grains and milk.

IT IS FOOD TO MILLIONS you morons.

They returned home only after they finally spotted themselves on a channel, seeing how they looked and how was their make up.

I can not conclude without thanking the brave staff of the two hotels. They have been poured praises from all those who were caught in those places. They tried relentlessly to comfort their dear clients through the horrible nightmare that wrecked on them. 'Hats off to all of you, survived and sacrificed.'

Our commandos were awesome. They dealt with entire matter with such delicate manner; American soldiers please learn from them what it means by rescuing the common people from terrorists.
