Who will do anything anyway? - Anish Vyavahare, Mumbai

SHOUT OUT LOUD!

The innocents always die first. Or do the unprepared always die first?

Complacency and ignorance have their own benefits, especially in the form of bliss, but as Mumbaikars, were we too indifferent and caught up in our own lives to see what could happen to us if we did not pay attention to our own safety?

It is easy to point fingers at others, especially politicians and the security forces. It is easy to demand resignations (how does that help, I have no clue) and make resolutions after attacks like we make every New Year, only to find them broken. What is not easy to do is look at ourselves and see what we can do.

Of course, with our busy lives all this is not really possible. Just ask your boss or teacher whether they will give you enough time to really do something for the city.

Is there really hope in such a scenario where we can’t practically do anything?
